We are looking for a 2nd shift Trainer to add to our Final Inspection team!
The Trainer creates and manages the department training program. This position ensures a high standard of training and facilitation to certify and qualify team members to required skill proficiency levels. Maintains accurate training and certification records.
- Maintains a formal department training program.
- Determines the best training method such as individual, group, demonstrations, meetings, and workshops; coordinates the training schedule with the hiring and training demands of the department.
- Prepares and distributes training aids such as instructional materials, handouts, and evaluation forms.
- Conducts team member training on workmanship standards, processes, procedures, and operations to ensure that the team member develops higher skills and are certified/recertified or qualified to an acceptable level of proficiency. Administers testing for certifications and recertification.
- Provides feedback to both the team leader and team member during training. Identifies and attempts to circumvent various problems that could create barriers to the learning process.
- Designs and applies assessment tools to measure training effectiveness. Ensures additional training is conducted in a timely manner as needs are identified.
- Maintains training records of each team member and enters them into the HRMS system in a timely manner. Issues training reminders as needed.
- Assists team members with operational issues related to their position and how to utilize appropriate problem solving tools.
- Updates the program due to new equipment, process changes, and team member feedback.
Must haves:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Trainer experience in manufacturing preferred.
