We are adding a Buyer to our team!

The Buyer will purchase supplies for production and individual departments, verify confirmations from suppliers, and assist other Purchasing team members as needed.

  • Purchases supplies for production, shop, office, and individual departments.
  • Assists other Purchasing team members with business critical functions.
  • Maintains accurate and complete records related to all purchasing and support activities.
  • Reviews and/or investigates incoming shipments for accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensures optimal levels of stock to support ongoing operations.
  • Assists with monthly cycle counts and adjustments to maintenance inventory.
  • Maintains accurate item information in the computer system.
  • Ensures compliance with company purchasing procedures.
  • Confirms all purchase orders placed by purchasing.
  • Assists with monthly cycle counts and adjustments.
  • Requests documentation from suppliers.
  • Assists in resolving non-conforming products with suppliers and helps to maintain the supplier scorecard.
  • Uses and balances credit card statement.

 Must haves:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in Business or related field preferred.
  • Experience in purchasing/manufacturing environment preferred.

 Skills and abilities crucial to success in this role:

  • Working knowledge of internal MRP systems.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Strong negotiating skills and the ability to resolve complaints and concerns.
  • Ability to work proficiently with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced office with multiple interruptions.
  • Ability to work independently without continued support from others.
  • Ability to organize resources and establish priorities while performing complex tasks and multiple projects.
  • Ability to manage confidential information.
