(Waste from Electrical and Electronic Equipment) Labels
WEEE Compliance
WEEE is the acronym for Waste from Electrical and Electronic Equipment.
WEEE, also known as Directive 2002/96/EC, mandates the treatment, recovery
and recycling of electric and electronic equipment. WEEE compliance aims
to encourage the design of electronic products with environmentally-safe
recycling and recovery in mind.
All applicable products in the EU market after August 13, 2006 must pass
WEEE compliance and carry this symbol. This directive is being considered
in other countries as well.
DuraTech Industries offers these labels in pre-printed rolls on 3 inch
cores of 500 or 5,000. These labels meet the requirements of WEEE Directive
2002/96/EC as specified in EN 50419. They are offered in three different
sizes and two design options—white background with black copy and
black background with white copy.
